There are some hosting providers which give cloudbased hosting and full control over all php extensions. I am using shared hosting and i can enable all php extensions from my cpanel only. Also you can use Cpanel auto ssl or lets-encrypt for free ssl. If you going for vps , there are plenty of opensource panels are available for you.
