Create a drop down in thread chooser?

hey guys, anyone been able to successfully turn the thread chooser into a drop down?

in template: forum_post_thread_chooser

for example, to turn this https://i.gyazo.com/7d5f77cd0a31a1c54beb9ea2e2baf0bf.png -> dropdown

like -> https://i.gyazo.com/eb28e5ada0829c28fd59e5ee38894c36.png (this is an IPS forum)

Have you observed the code of the initial menu of xenforo? maybe you can take the idea and implement it in the other thread chooser code

I mean the part of the xenforor start sessions by default, it comes with an option to deploy or collapse the sessions. Look up the template code and see how it works and maybe it gives you an idea of how to do what you want.

yeah, i have looked in the template already and tried but not entirely sure how to group the categories in a dropdown, more specifically where to add the dropdown code starting and closing tags
