just a little message to thank the whole team for their very good work in rebuilding enxf.net quickly.

I don't trust the host and back up my databases once a week and the files once a month.

I'm doing the same. As a technical admin, db and files backup should be a recurring practice of our jobs.

I have automatic backups every 6 hours sent to S3 :D

Well, this is really a rare case ( fire in all a datacenter) , but can happend.
personally I have a weekly backup, DB and files, in the same datacenter. Now..maybe an external copy would be a good practice.

probably groups need to be restored / rebuilded
Also for my account I don't see "collaborate" banner now. Probably the same happend for premium account when the issue started.

So the best to take a manual backup from time to time and save it in a save place, but it would be good to test these from time to time in a small test environment, to be sure they are working

I use the backups in test environments when an add-on, even more XF itself, upgrades its version, do a heavy testing (different browsers, web/mobile, doing things which the addon is directly or even indirectly involved, etc) and if everything goes well, THEN, I apply the upgrade in the prod site.

Results: Not a single complain in my 3 years my community is up, with lots of people engaged and I use like 15 add-ons (that's the only thing I don't like very much, like half of my forum's features are not XF core related, but I go with trusted developers).
