If you are using ngix + php-fpm, I would suggest you to connect Redis with guest page caching + Redis Cache by Xon + optimize database. In this bundle, all my forums 95+ on pagespeed.

I would also recommend doing a detailed scan with https://www.webpagetest.org/ and look at the query tree.
