or is it possible? to update it to version 2.2.1 so that everything remains on the forum, the comments and all posts

Xenforo2usercheck your MySQL log or install a slow query low addon. and check which slows down your process.
and you cannot downgrade . . if you have taken a backup before the upgrade you can downgrade
